Research Interests: Kinetic effects on MHD waves in the Solar Corona.
My work centres around MHD waves in coronal loops & active regions (see publication). The behaviour of these waves at low frequency is adequately described by MHD theory, however at higher frequencies approaching a collision frequency this is not the case. I am studying how kinetic effects can be introduced into MHD theory to better describe phenomena such as wave damping.
