Winchester (8 miles) is also on the main line; Eastleigh (5 miles) is the closest station but is served mainly by local services. You will need to take a taxi from the station to Marwell Hotel; bus services may be available from Eastleigh, Southampton (City Centre) or Winchester. The cost of the taxi journey between Southampton Airport Parkway train station and Marwell Hotel is about £20.

Travelling by bus

Due to the rural location of the conference venue it can be difficult to access by public transport. There are no year-round bus services but buses serving the adjacent zoo typically run from around Easter until the summer on weekends and school holidays. Details of all services for 2016 are not yet available but it is known that service M1 only begins on Friday March 25th hence it is assumed other services will not have commenced in time for the conference. Please check for details on the Marwell Zoo website.

Travelling by car

The conference centre address is Marwell Hotel, Thompson’s Lane, Colden Common, Hampshire, SO21 1JY. The hotel is situated adjacent to Marwell Zoo just off the B2177 between Colden Common and Bishops Waltham. You can therefore follow the large brown tourist signs for the zoo from the motorway, exiting the M3 at J11 or the M27 at J10 (westbound) or J5 (eastbound).
