Dr. Gagan Mohanty

Research Interests

My current research interest is to study the violation of Charge-Parity (CP) symmetry in B-meson decays. Specifically, I am interested in studying the B decays to hadronic final states without a charm quark. These processes probe the dynamics of both electroweak and strong (QCD) interactions, and therefore play a key role in understanding CP violation and low-energy regime of QCD. In this context, I have been a member of the BABAR experiment at SLAC in Stanford, USA since last six years.

In my previous incarnation, I was deeply involved with precision electroweak measurements - in particular, studies of Z boson pair production - and with Higgs searches using the e+e- collision data collected with the L3 detector at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
