Warwick has for many years been among the top ten British universities targeted by top employers for graduate recruitment. Years later, this trend is still going on.

`The Graduate Market in 2020' ranked Warwick 3rd for `Universities Targeted by the Largest Number of Top Employers in 2019-2020', meaning Warwick, has held a top 4 position for six consecutive years. `The Graduate Market in 2019' ranked Warwick 4th. `The Graduate Market in 2018' ranked Warwick 3rd ahead of Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Nottingham, Oxford and more. 'The Graduate Market in 2017' ranked Warwick first, ahead of Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Cambridge, Birmingham, Leeds, Oxford and more. Warwick ranked 3rd in the for two consecutive years by the High Fliers reports 'The Graduate Market in 2016' and in 'The Graduate Market in 2015', after Manchester and Nottingham, ahead of Oxford and Cambridge. The previous year Warwick was ranked 7th in 'The Graduate Market in 2014', and 'The Graduate Market in 2013' states that large, high-profile UK employers are focusing on finding graduate recruits at a small handful of elite universities, headed by Warwick. According to 2019 report, "the UK’s top employers are increasing their graduate vacancies by 9.1% in 2019, the highest annual rise in graduate recruitment since 2010."

Stephen Ward, Head of External Relations in Student Careers and Skills at Warwick, has commented that “Being ranked as number one is testament to both the hard work we have done in building strong relationships with these key employers and, of course, the high calibre of our students. As the majority of this group recruit from all degree disciplines and offer placements as well as graduate opportunities, this is great news for every Warwick student. However, I'm keen to point out that we are just as committed to applying the same careful approach in other employment sectors. Not every student sees their future in large corporate employers and it is essential that we give our students the best possible chance of getting the career they want – whether that be at international organisations, local businesses or charities.”

The University has fared well in the past with a top ten placing in each of the previous five reports and leading the list for the first time is reflective of the investment being made in the future career paths of the students.
