Prime Minister 'glad to be back in the Midlands'
UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown visited WMG at the University of Warwick for the third time today (Friday 13 February) as part of a tour of the Midlands.
Mr Brown first visited WMG in June 2007 when he unveiled the foundation stone of the Group’s newest building, the International Digital Laboratory. Then in July last year he returned to formally open the building.
His visit last week was a private meeting with an invited audience but he said: “It is great to be back in the Midlands and especially to come once again to this wonderful example of entrepreneurship and innovation.
“There’s no denying that times are tough at the moment but it will be the imagination and innovation displayed at organisations like WMG that will help ensure this region comes through the recession fitter and stronger.”
