RAE results 2008

WARWICK ENGINEERING RANKED 5TH IN UK FOR WORLD LEADING RESEARCH

 

The University of Warwick’s School of Engineering, in which WMG is a major player, has been ranked 5th for its world leading research activity in the Research Assessment Exercise results announced today.

 

The School put forward 69 research active staff in the submission to the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), among the greatest number entered in this unit of assessment.

 

WMG’s research is a key contribution to the School’s entry and spans such diverse subjects as operations modelling, digital technologies, advanced materials and manufacturing processes.

 

The assessment has a direct impact on the public funding universities receive for all their activities.
