Biography

I have taught in a variety of EFL/EAP settings including in language schools in the Czech Republic, France and the Netherlands, as well as in FE colleges and universities in the UK. I taught EAP and ESAP on the Warwick International Foundation Programme from 2011 to 2019 and, during the same time period, I also worked as a CELTA main course tutor. In the summers of 2018 and 2019 I was the English mentor in Tanzania for Warwick in Africa teacher development programme. During my time in working in Further Education, I worked as a teaching and learning support mentor for 15 years working with teachers exploring innovations in their teaching. I now teach on the MA TESOL for Applied Linguistics and design, write and deliver teacher development courses for Short Courses in Applied Linguistics. I have published an article and chapter in 'Innovations in Internationalisation at Home', edited by Manning and Colaiacomo. (https://www.cambridgescholars.com/product/978-1-5275-6656-9). My academic interests lie in internationalisation of pedagogy with a focus on the co-operation between EAP practitioners and discipline lecturers in both planning and delivery. I am particularly interested in how we can work together using TEL to develop pedagogies for use inside and outside the lecture theatre to create learning environments which support the needs of NESB students. I teach on the MA TESOL for Applied Linguistics and design, write and deliver Teaching EAP courses for Short Courses in Applied Linguistics. I have published an article and chapter in Innovations in Internationalisation at Home edited by Manning and Colaiacomo. (https://www.cambridgescholars.com/product/978-1-5275-6656-9)
