Local Partners

In the last twelve months, our short course participants have engaged with a variety of local schools and voluntary organisations.

Local Schools

Where it fits with the aims of the programme, we arrange school visits to primary and secondary schools in Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. We are very grateful to the schools who offer the opportunities to our participants, for the warm welcome and stimulating programme they provide for our teachers. The visits include classroom observations and meetings with teachers; in addition, there is often the chance for our participants to engage with the students by teaching their first language or by offering a workshop in an aspect of national culture.

Local Voluntary Organisations

In recent years, we have developed valued links with a number of voluntary organisations in the local area, who have offered participants on certain courses the opportunity to enjoy a work placement. These experiences have been enormously beneficial to the students involved, and at the same time, we have received wonderful feedback from the organisations, who have praised the students for their positive contribution. We have also had a number of guest speakers from these organisations, who have led workshop sessions in the classroom.
