We are looking for candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, commercial acumen and an awareness of key business issues, and the desire to apply analytic and economic and/or financial skills to real life problems.

Fitch Ratings Fitch Ratings is a leading provider of credit ratings, commentary and research. Dedicated to providing value beyond the rating through independent and prospective credit opinions, Fitch Ratings offers global perspectives shaped by strong local market experience and credit market expertise. The additional context, perspective and insights we provide help investors to make important credit judgments with confidence. You will have a strong academic track record and be a recent graduate in a numerate subject, ideally related to finance or economics. However, we also welcome applications from candidates from other disciplines such as engineering and sciences. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver clear and concise analysis. Additional fluency in another European language would be an advantage but is not essential.

HM Treasury

HM Treasury is the government’s economic and finance ministry. We employ a team of around 1,000, predominantly in policy roles. You will find the majority of us in modern headquarters overlooking St James's Park - right in the heart of Westminster. Our policy team advise Ministers on maintaining control over public spending, deciding how money is raised from taxpayers, setting the direction of the UK’s economic policy and working to achieve strong and sustainable economic growth. This gives us a say in every part, of every policy, across every government department.

To thrive as a Policy Adviser at HM Treasury you need a talent for grasping ideas quickly and taking complex information on board, strong analytical skills and a ruthless filter for the irrelevant or distracting. Then you need the communication skills to convey your findings precisely and clearly. You’ll need to be able to hold your own and handle a high degree of responsibility and challenge.

RBB Economics

RBB Economics is an independent economics consultancy specialising in competition law matters. We apply the latest advances in economic theory, statistical and econometric techniques in helping our clients address complex competition challenges.

Qualifications are usually to postgraduate level, however we do offer some places to those holding an undergraduate degree. A particular interest in industrial organisation is welcome, as is the ability to apply economic theory to a wide range of practical situations.
