Lord Robert Skidelsky, analyst of contemporary political and economic issues, returns to the Department of Economics

Lord Robert Skidelsky, author, columnist and analyst of contemporary political and economic issues, returns to the University of Warwick Department of Economics for a public address Thursday 15th March. The speech is the second of his two-part lecture series discussing problems with macroeconomic policy.

Lord Skidelsky is the author of an award-winning, three-volume biography of the economist John Maynard Keynes, and he has been a vocal advocate of the Keynesian solution of greater public spending to address the UK’s current economic malaise. As such, he has been an outspoken critic of the Coalition government’s budgetary policy.

An emeritus professor of political economy at the University of Warwick, Lord Skidelsky was made a life peer in 1991 and elected Fellow of the British Academy in 1994.
