Last Thursday, the 'Giving to Warwick' awards ceremony took place on campus, celebrating the exceptional achievements of student prize winners from across the University.

Students from departments across the University were awarded for efforts over the year with criteria including dissertations, overall academic performance, exam marks and overall contribution to departmental life.

Three students from the Department of Economics recieved awards for their achievements:

  • Largest Academic and Non-Academic Contribution - George Hall and Maria Foglia

  • The Rohin Modasia Prize for Excellence in Economics - Daniel Caverzaschi Arzola

The Rohin Modasia Prizes in Economics was founded by alumnus Rohin Modasia. The prize is awarded to a student showing a practical application of the subject and making a potentially usable contribution towards the wider community, such as promoting sustainability or alleviating poverty.

Professor Abhinay Muthoo, said "Congratulations to the students honoured last week for their fantastic achievements. The Department is proud of its prize winners and we hope they had a great time celebrating their awards."
