Right Reverend James Jones, the former Bishop of Liverpool, will be giving the fourth talk of the Economics 360 lecture series on Tuesday 11th March, 6-7pm in room M1 (WBS Teaching Centre).

James chaired the Hillsborough Independent Panel and cleared the names of football fans and has also carried out research into the moral dimensions of the financial crisis. He will be looking at a traditional theory that economics relies upon – ‘self-interest’ and the factors that are challenging this. In this context, he will also consider the role of morality in economic systems.

There will be a chance to talk to James about his experiences before and after the financial crisis.

This talk is open to all undergraduate students and staff members in the Department. A drinks reception will be held in the M1 foyer after the talk.
