Students and staff invited to prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Three of the Department's PhD students and two of our Assistant Professors have been invited to attend the highly prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting hosted in August this year which will be attended by a record number of 19 Nobel laureates.

The 5th Lindau Meeting on Economic Sciences provides an open exchange of economic expertise and inspire cross-cultural and inter-generational encounters among economists from all over the world. The diverse methodological approaches to economics will be widely discussed between the Laureates and some of the field's most promising, young researchers who will number around 480 from more than 80 countries.

The scientific programme includes lectures, discussion sessions, master classes and panel discussions.

The successful PhD students include Andreas Menzel , Dimitri Migrow and Boromeus Wanengkirtyo. Our Assistant Professors are Dr Miguel Almunia and Dr Peter Buisseret. The Head of Department, Professor Abhinay Muthoo extends his warmest congratulations to the participants who are continuing our history of success at this major event.
