Hitesh Pankhania, a Department of Economics graduate from The University of Warwick is about to undertake a yearlong charity cycling journey.

Hitesh, along with his cousin Vivek Jadav, will be cycling from Indonesia to London and covering approximately 14,000 miles as part of their ‘The World on Wheels’ charity cycle, raising money for the children’s and young people’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

During his time at The University of Warwick, Hitesh studied Politics Philosophy and Economics and said that he “had a great time, but think it’s time to do something a little different before entering the world of work.”

Upon hearing of the fundraising endeavour, Professor Abhinay Muthoo, Head of Department of Economics and Co-director of Warwick Policy Lab said:

"I am so very impressed by the effort involved in this fantastic fundraising task and what an experience Hitesh will have. Good luck to the both of them and the Department and I will be following their progress.”

If you would like to support both Hitesh and Vivek and help raise money for CLIC Sargent, please visit their JustGiving fundraising page.

You can also keep up to date with their progress by visiting the The World on Wheels website and following them on Twitter and Facebook.
