Ranked 3rd in the Good University Guide 2019

Department of Economics has been ranked 3rd in The Times/Sunday Times' Good University Guide 2019.

We are delighted to announce that Economics has been ranked 3rd out of 78 UK Economics departments in the subject league table published in the Good University Guide 2019, on Sunday 23 September 2018. The Department has remained firmly in the 'top 5' for a number of years, demonstrating its reputation as one of the leading Economics departments in the UK.

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide takes into consideration nine indicators, including teaching and research quality, student experience, entry points and graduate prospects. We are pleased to see our scores were particularly high in the area of graduate prospects giving us a total of 99.3%, with only Oxford and Cambridge with higher scores.

This latest news follows on from our success earlier in the year in The Complete University Guide 2019 league table where we were also ranked 3rd.

Commenting on the subject rankings, the Head of the Department Jeremy Smith, said:

It is very pleasing that Warwick Economics is consistently ranked highly in league tables which reflect both the quality of the students and the quality of the academic body. However, these league table positions do not come about by chance, but rather through the dedication to duty of all staff and students working hard to make and enhance the reputation of Warwick Economics.

The University of Warwick was named as one of the UK's top 10 universities.

We would like to thank all our students and staff for their contribution to this continued success.
