  • Contracts and arbitration
  • Centralized allocation of vehicles
  • The ministry of heavy industry
  • The economics of the Gulag
  • "Lesser" terror: economic incentives and punishments
  • Planners' preferences
  • Analysis of interviews in 1988 with Soviet economic administrators
  • The first postwar five-year plan.
