Barbara’s research involves both core EU law, such as the market freedoms and other rules relating to the single market, and EU external action in the fields of trade and investment.

Dennis Novy

Dr Novy has conducted analysis of who voted for Brexit (with Professor Becker and Dr Fetzer) and has presented his analysis to economists and civil servants at HM Treasury. Dr Novy also works on international trade and is a former adviser to the House of Lords on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership.

Gabriel Siles-Brügge

Dr Siles-Brügge’s research focuses on EU trade and investment policy and agreements (such as the EU-US Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) on which he has advised numerous NGOs and trade unions in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. He is currently working on a book on the trade policy implications of Brexit.

Markus Wagner

Professor Wagner’s research expertise is in international trade and investment law. He is currently exploring the implications of Brexit from an international law perspective, and planning a project that compares the approaches taken by various countries in the context of mega-regional trade agreements as well as options for the UK post-Brexit.
