Professor Fiona Smith is Professor of International Economic Law at the University of Leeds. She joined the Law School in 2017 having previously held positions at University of Warwick and UCL. She has also been Visiting Professor at several law schools in the USA, including University of Minnesota, University of Michigan and Boston College Law School. Her research focuses on international trade law in the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and she has a specialist interest in international agricultural trade. Fiona is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Economic Law and serves as the journal’s European Book Review Editor. In 2017, Fiona was appointed Specialist Advisor for the House of Lords for its Report on BREXIT and Agriculture.

Meredith

Professor Meredith Kolsky Lewis is Professor of Law and Vice Dean for International and Graduate Programs at the SUNY Buffalo Law School, where she also directs the Cross-Border Legal Studies Center. Professor Lewis also holds a faculty appointment at the Victoria University of Wellington Law School in New Zealand. She teaches public and private international law subjects, including International Trade Law; International Economic Law; International Business Transactions; and International Commercial Arbitration. Her research focuses on international economic law, with a particular emphasis on the WTO, free trade agreements, international dispute settlement and the Asia-Pacific region. Professor Lewis is a founding member of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) and recently concluded two terms as SIEL’s Co-Executive Vice President. She is currently co-rapporteur of the International LawAssociation’s Committee on Sustainable Development and the Green Economy in International Trade Law.

Dr Federico Ortino is Reader in International Economic Law at King's College London specialising in WTO law, international investment law and arbitration and the law of the EU internal market. He is a member of the ILA Committee on the Rule of Law and International Investment Law, the Society of International Economic Law (of which he is a Founding Member and former Co-Treasurer), Investment Policy Task Force of the E15 Initiative, and the Investment Treaty Forum. He is an editorial board member of the Journal of International Economic Law, the Yearbook on International Investment Law and Policy, the Journal of International Trade and Investment, and the Journal of International Dispute Settlement. He recently joined the Brexit advisory team of Clifford Chance LLP. Formerly, Fulbright Scholar at NYU, co-rapporteur to the ILA Committee on the Law of Foreign Investment, and Legal Officer for the Division on Investment Enterprises at the UNCTAD.

Wagner

Markus Wagner is Associate Professor of Law at the University of Warwick where he teaches and writes in the areas of public international law and international economic law (IEL). His recent IEL scholarship covers the interplay between law and scientific uncertainty, second and third generation barriers to trade, as well as the intersection between the global trade and investment regimes. He is currently undertaking a book project entitled Investment Law’s Uruguay Moment which analyzes the institutional, substantive and procedural parallels between the trade and investment regimes. He serves as Co-Secretary for the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) and is Associate Editor for the Journal of World Investment and Trade (JWIT).
