About

The Centre for Studies in Democratisation (CSD) is one of five major research centres in Politics and International Studies at Warwick.

The Centre is a methodologically pluralistic, intellectually open forum for all PAIS and Warwick researchers whose work puzzles over, analyses, dissects or otherwise engages with questions of democracy or democratization. This includes theoretical, empirical, comparative, postcolonial, normative, feminist, critical, institutional, regional, and international and global perspectives.

The goal of the Centre is to provide a forum for debating, deliberating and supporting our thinking and research on democracy and related themes. It will conduct seminars, work-in-progress discussions, guest lectures, and planning for research funding and support. CSD will also develop a podcast series.

All researchers at Warwick are welcome to participate in CSD.
