Cintia Quiliconi

Cintia Quiliconi has PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southern California. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on asymmetric bilateral trade agreements between North-South partners in Latin America. She is currently a Senior Researcher at the Department of International Relations in the Latin American School of Social Sciences (FLACSO/ Argentina). Her research focuses on International trade negotiations and agreements, regionalism, Latin American trade relations with the EU and the U.S., and the political economy of development.

Before joining FLACSO, Cintia was an advisor to the Secretariat of Industry- Ministry of Economy in Argentina, she worked on the coordination of common positions among Mercosur countries for the EU- Mercosur trade agreement negotiations, and was also involved in the consultations with the private sector about their interests on these negotiations. She has also been a consultant at various international organizations, recently co-authoring a background paper for UNDP on regionalism and human development.

In joining GREEN, Cintia is interested in analyzing the recent preferential trade agreements signed by the EU and various Latin American countries such as Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, etc.
