Philosophy and The Uses of Narrative

How are selves and stories linked? Is the self always something more than stories can express? Does the human self emerge from the way it is positioned within narratives? This conference will foreground issues of birth, origin, temporality and meaning as speakers address the status of narratives that express or construct identities.
