Jenny Saul Staff and Student Talks 17th November 2016

The Department of Philosophy was honoured to host Prof Jennifer Saul (University of Sheffield) in November 2016 to deliver two seminars: a seminar aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students and a seminar to academic staff on the topic of unconcious and implicit bias (see below). Jenny is Director of the Society for Women in Philosophy UK and Co-Chair of the British Philosophical Association's Women in Philosophy Committee and has carried out research on how implicit bias and stereotype threat may contribute to the under-representation of women in philosophy. Jenny co-wrote a report for the British Philosophical Association and Society for Women in Philosophy UK entitled 'Women in Philosophy in the UK: A Report' and regularly publishes articles on Women in Philosophy. More information on Prof Jennifer Saul can be found here.
