Time requirement for creating a new usercode

When requesting a usercode for a new member of staff we require at least 3 weeks' notice. There are 3 factors that can delay the production of new codes:

  1. If a new computer needs to be ordered; in this case Dell require around 10 working days to produce and distribute the computer, in addition to the time required for the financial and ordering processes.
  2. The new user needs to be entered into the WBS Personnel records before we attempt to produce the usercode. This is a requirement to ensure the user is automatically granted access to the MIS and my.wbs records to which they are entitled.
  3. Sometimes we are required to check with senior School management as to the rights and privileges that an account can receive.

The above factors are the reason for the requirement of 3 weeks' notice, as indicated on the form.
