This project is now considered complete (April 2012). The information is kept here for archive purposes. 

In general we shall migrate one logical group per day. The following represents the current plan but should be considered tentative and subject to possible (even likely) revision. Groups will be contacted individually as the timetable is finalised. WBS Solutions and volunteer early adopters will all have been migrated before the roll-out described below in order to test the process.

Procedure:

• At 17.00 the email passwords will be changed for all group members that are due to be migrated that day. Group members will be advised to change their settings on any mobile devices that use to receive email
• WBS Solutions will start the migration of that group's email and leave this running all night
• The following day from 09.00 group members will be encouraged to log into their new account using Outlook or similar. The large majority of staff will see all of their email has been migrated and the folder structure maintained. Some staff with very large accounts may find that the migration process has not yet completed and their new account will continue to have email migrated into it throughout the day.
