Assistant/Associate/Professor of Operational Research and Management Science

The Operational Research and Management Sciences Group at Warwick Business School is looking to recruit several new scholars on all levels.

Ideally, you will have a track record of influential research, excellent teaching skills, are willing to engage in distance learning programmes, and are likely to have experience in, or potential for, attracting research funding.

We will consider applications in all areas of Operational Research, but expertise in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Simulation, analytics, statistics, information collection & optimisation, multi-criteria optimization/decision making.

Application areas of particular interest include revenue management, crisis management, performance and efficiency analysis, energy, healthcare and transportation.

The Operational Research and Management Sciences Group (ORMS) at Warwick Business School (WBS) is a dynamic, highly esteemed and international research group, covering the full range of Operational Research from mathematical to soft OR.

WBS is one of Europe's top business schools. It was the first of an elite global group to be endorsed by all three international business school accreditation bodies: AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. In the recent 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise it submitted research output from over 130 staff. 75% of this work was recognised as being internationally excellent and rated as 3* and above.

Underpinned by the breadth, depth and quality of its research, WBS offers a wide range of business and management degrees from undergraduate through postgraduate to its doctoral programme. The ORMS group is responsible for two MSc programmes, one on Management Science and Operational Research, and one on Business Analytics and Consulting.

For the position of Professor, you will enjoy an international reputation as a leader in your field and have a strong record of publishing in the world's top research journals. For the position of Associate Professor, you will have several years experience in a business school environment or equivalent, have demonstrated the ability to publish consistently in leading research journals and show the potential for promotion to Professor. For the position of Assistant Professor, you will be at or near the completion of your doctoral studies, have an outstanding academic record and show clear promise of developing a top business school career.
