Chancellor’s International Scholarships (for overseas students only)

These are new scholarships available for full-time applicants paying overseas fees. The scholarships will pay fees at overseas level plus stipend of £13,590 per annum. These awards are only open to new applicants. The application process is the same as for the Chancellor’s Scholarships. Eligible applicants who apply for the Chancellor’s Scholarships will be considered automatically for a Chancellor’s International Scholarship. There are only 17 scholarships available across all doctoral programmes in the University so competition will be fierce. See:

ESRC DTC Studentships

These awards are available only to UK and EU applicants. WBS will receive a minimum of 4 awards per annum over the next 5 years. It has also been allocated an additional 3 year award with flexibility on the timing of the allocation of this award. The competition for 2012 has not yet opened but details will be posted on the DTC website as soon as it does:

http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/socialsciencesdtc/

WBS will automatically consider all eligible applicants who apply for a Chancellor’s Scholarship for an ESRC studentship.

WBS Scholarships

These scholarships are open to full-time applicants to the WBS Doctoral Programme as well as current first year students who are registered full-time, regardless of nationality. There is no separate application process for these scholarships. Applicants who apply for other scholarships listed above will automatically be considered for a WBS scholarship. Award holders are required to undertake some teaching and related duties up to a maximum of 110 hours per annum.

WBS Bursaries

These are smaller awards available to all registered students on the programme who are self-funding. The typical value of the bursaries varies depending on the number of eligible applicants each year but is normally between £2-3,000 for full-time students. These awards are not open to new applicants to the programme. The deadline for applications for 2011/12 is 4th May 2012. Details of the application process will be circulated to all students on the programme early in 2012.
