Bedmates or Sparring Partners? Perspectives on the Intelligence-Media Relationship since 9/11

This public lecture will be led by Tony Campbell, a Visiting Fellow at the Warwick Institute of Advanced Study.

Tony Campbell has had a distinguished career in diplomatic and public service, and he was an internationally recognised authority on regulatory policy and regulatory reform before becoming responsible, as Executive Director, for foreign intelligence analysis at Canada’s cabinet office. He has also held visiting academic appointments at Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and Toronto Universities, and was President of the Canadian Association for Security and Intelligence Studies. He continues to act as an independent consultant on intelligence matters and to teach in several universities. He is one of the first cohort of Visiting Fellows under Warwick’s major new Institute of Advanced Study initiative. His lecture will be of relevance to anyone with an interest in contemporary political events.
