3rd British Shakespeare Association Conference

British Shakespeare Association logoThe Capital Centre will be hosting a conference, in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe, The Shakespeare Institute of the University of Birmingham and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust at the end of August.

The conference will seek to examine the numerous ways in which Shakespeare is interpreted when it is spoken, edited, taught and directed both on the stage and in film, plus the music and stage design against which they are performed.

Over 100 theatre practitioners, teachers, students, academic researchers and Shakespeare enthusiasts are due to attend the event taking place between Friday 31 August and Sunday 2 September. A programme of workshops and discussions, plus paper and seminars will make up the event, with the emphasis on active participation.
