Free at Last? - Caribbean Studies Interdisciplinary Conference

Wednesday 11 - Friday 13 July. Centre for Caribbean Studies.

This interdisciplinary conference will commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the end of the British Atlantic Slave Trade.

Keynote speakers include David Dabydeen and Gad Heuman from Warwick, Akosua Perbi from the University of Ghana and James Walvin from York University.

Panel topics include memory and commemoration, the Haitian revolution, enslaved resistance, slavery and literature and anti-slave trade writings.
