Library Gallery - History of Art Students

The annual show of work by students who have taken the practical art option taught by Mary Riley. In addition to life drawing, students pursue individual agendas of exploration in a range of media and methods. The outcomes submitted for final assessment are displayed in this exhibition.

This term sees the final series of exhibitions in the Library Gallery; the forthcoming remodelling of the entrance to the library means that the current gallery space will be lost. Since 1999 over ninety artists from the region have been given the opportunity to show their work in a place at the centre of University life which also has good public access. It has been a feature of our cultural landscape much valued within the University and in the wider community. Thanks are due to the three Warwick academics, Catherine Bates, Richard Yeomans and Louise Campbell, whose enthusiasm kept the programme running during the past eight years.

More work by students on the course is on display at Westwood Music Centre for the duration of the exhibition.
