WBS Business Angels: Innovation & Investment - A Fine Balance

Saturday 21 June, 10am - 2.45pm, WBS

Following the success of the Business Angels event in February, WBS and the University of Warwick Science Park's Minerva Business Angel Network are pleased to announce that they are joining forces on Saturday 21 June 2008 to re-run the Entrepreneurship & Business Angels event.

During the course of the day our speakers will cover the basics of Venture Capital, providing a practical guide to investing. We will also hear from an experienced Business Angel who will cover their own particular field of interest and the thought processes behind their reasons for becoming involved.

Speakers include Professor Roger Mumby-Croft and Harry Stott from the University of Warwick Science Park and representing the Minerva Business Angel Network. The main objective of this seminar is to introduce the idea of Business Angels to the WBS community from the concept to the reality with this event acting as an advice and information gathering session.

The programme for the day commencing at 10am, will cover a wide range of topics including both the theory and reality behind investing, to the more practical tax and legal issues, capturing and keeping interested parties involved, right through to a potential investment opportunity. We will break for a light lunch around 1pm to provide an opportunity for networking then and again at the end of the sessions at 2:15 pm.
