Widening Participation Showcase

Wednesday 6 May, 10am - 3pm, University House atrium

The Widening Participation Showcase aims to celebrate the range and variety of widening participation activities currently undertaken by many departments within the University.

The event is open to all Warwick staff. The Showcase will enable staff to drop in and share their work and successes with colleagues from other parts of the University, helping them to feel part of a community working towards similar ends and even picking up ideas for developing new initiatives. Staff who are not directly involved in widening participation are also invited to attend the event to find out more.

The Widening Participation Showcase will run from 10am to 3pm with a host of activities available throughout that period. The main focus of the day will be at lunchtime when Michael Whitby, Pro Vice Chancellor (Teaching & Learning and International Affairs) will give a keynote speech. At this time representatives from all participating departments will be on hand to talk about their work.

Representatives from the following departments will be on hand to discuss their widening participation activity:

  • Biological Sciences
  • Library
  • Capital Centre
  • Centre for Lifelong Learning
  • Careers Service
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Open Studies
  • Deputy Registrar's Office
  • Student Admissions and Recruitment Office
  • IGGY
  • Students' Union
  • Institute of Education
  • Warwick Volunteers
