WMG Professorial Seminar - Applied Neuroimaging – How neuroscience is helping industry

Thursday 20 November 2008
Room A401, commencing at 16:15

A new series of professorial seminars from WMG is to launch, with the first session on neuroscience on industry, led by Professor Gemma Calvert.

Abstract:
The confounds associated with traditional market research techniques has prompted the search for alternative tools by which to interrogate the consumer's mind. Neuroimaging methods offer the opportunity to acquire objective insights into human brain function and are now being used to predict consumer behaviour with greater accuracy. In this talk, Professor Calvert will describe how functional MRI is being employed to answer a very wide range of questions of interest to marketers and manufacturers.
