Writing for Radio

Saturday 8th March, 10.30am to 4.30pm, CAPITAL Centre, Millburn House

Following on from the success of the Writing for Performance Study Day last term, the CAPITAL Centre would like to invite staff and students to take part in a new session on Writing for Radio.

The day will be led by Professor Carol Rutter of the English Department with Pete Atkin (singer/songwriter and radio producer) and Paul Allen (radio broadcaster, interviewer and playwright). It will include two plenary sessions exploring the process of writing and editing scripts for radio, and two practical sessions that will allow participants to work alongside the writers on real radio scripts.

This is a unique opportunity to work with National broadcasters, and our past sessions have been a particular success with aspiring writers.

This is a free event, and includes lunch.

Please note that numbers are strictly limited, and participants must be able to attend for the entire day. For any further information on this study day, or to book your place, please contact Peter Kirwan on Peter.Kirwan@warwick.ac.uk or EXT 50377
