New Academic Director positions for key institutional priorities

We are seeking to appoint two new roles of Academic Director, to provide leadership for key institutional education and employability priorities in support of the overall strategic direction provided by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) – Chris Hughes.

The post-holders will work as part of an emerging team of five Academic Directors and in conjunction with a new Education Executive led by Chris. These new appointments and development of the Executive will help to ensure that we continue to remain at the very forefront of excellence in national and international education agendas.

The Academic Director (Employability and Skills) will lead the development of our strategic framework and vision for employability, working with academic departments, central service teams such as Careers and Skills, and Warwick SU to promote implementation and ensure alignment with our overall strategic goals. The Academic Director (Partnerships) will assist in the development of new and existing partnerships and the leadership of regulatory and governance arrangements for partnerships so that they enhance our academic reputation nationally and internationally in alignment with our strategic goals.

These appointments will each be for a period of three years initially, at 0.6FTE, with the remainder of individuals’ time continuing to focus on personal academic work at the highest level.
