GRP Global Governance Symposium: keynote by Professor Anne-Marie Slaughter
Global Research Priorities - Global Governance (GRP-GG) is a cross-departmental initiative that brings together people from different departments interested in global governance research. At the end of each academic year we hold a symposium.

Global Research Priorities - Global Governance (GRP-GG) invites you to its Annual Symposium keynote address by Professor Anne-Marie Slaughter from Princeton University. She will speak on ‘A Human Values Approach to Global Governance’.
Anne-Marie Slaughter is currently the Bert G. Kerstetter '66 University Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University. From September she becomes President of the New America Foundation, a leading think tank on challenges for the USA in a rapidly changing world.
In the first Obama Administration Professor Slaughter served under Hilary Clinton as Director of Policy Planning in the United States Department of State. She is the first woman to have held this key position in US foreign policymaking. Earlier Dr. Slaughter was Dean of Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
For her major contributions to research and policy Professor Slaughter is being awarded an honorary doctorate from Warwick in this summer's graduation ceremony.
This will be a special lecture by one of the most senior, articulate and wise commentators on America in the world.
The keynote address will be followed by a reception.

Interested staff and PhD students are also invited to attend the Annual Symposium.
The morning will include discussions of key initiatives that have made notable headway during the past year. These discussions will be kicked off by engaging people from practitioner circles, including the CEO of the Carnegie UK Trust and several civil society actors. In the afternoon we'll get expert advice on forthcoming grants opportunities as well as input regarding impact strategies.
