Institute at Warwick Arts Centre

This week at Warwick Arts Centre there’s a unique opportunity to see Institute, the brand new show from acclaimed dance theatre company Gecko, and also to meet and discuss Gecko’s unique development processes with their Artistic Director, Amit Lahav.

instituteSet in a warped world of emotional compartmentalisation and treatment - where memories are filed, relationships scrutinised and patient becomes carer and vice versa. Expect ingenious set design, featuring giant filing cabinets from which fully formed memories, whole relationships and secrets are pulled out and filed away; visceral movement and intricate group choreography and moments of stunning tenderness and beauty that shine out from shadows so brightly, they leave you reeling.

The show runs from Tuesday 13 – Thursday 15 May and tickets are still available, also staff can get 2 for the price of 1 when they show their staff card at the Box Office counter.

Amit Lahav, director of Institute and Artistic Director at Gecko will also be On the Couch to talk about the show on Wednesday 14 May at 5.30pm in a completely free, informal discussion. There’s also a post show talk on Tuesday 13 May.
