Big screen for campus

bigscreenFollowing the successful pilot big screen last summer and subsequent consultations and appraisals, a permanent screen is being installed onto the side of the Rootes Building later this term (mid June).

It will enhance the campus experience for our community, including staff, students and external visitors by showing live streams of campus, national and international events (like graduations or sports tournaments), digital arts installations (in collaboration with the Arts Centre), student films and much more.

Sarah Wall, Digital Signage Project Manager adds:

The screen will provide a social environment for people to watch national and international cultural and sporting events such as Wimbledon, the Anniversary Games and the Tour de France. We hope the screen will be used by the entire campus community and are encouraging people to suggest ideas and events for content that they would like to see featured."

The 5.5m LED screen will have a 140° wide viewing range and will be positioned to make the most of the Piazza area for all. It will have an improved and fully adjustable high quality sound from last year's pilot screen.

Featuring your content on the big screen:

If you have any content you would like to have featured, know about an event that could be supported by the screen or want to see your favourite sport displayed, please let the Digital Signage team know via the content ideas page or via email at digitalsignage at warwick dot ac dot uk
