New club for tech enthusiasts: The Boost Club

WMG are launching a new lunchtime club for tech enthusiasts, hackers and developers to get together to write code, share ideas, hack stuff, chat, watch demos and build an open-source social network. The Boost Club will meet for two hours at lunch time every two months at the IIPSI building, with access to a range of equipment including 3D printers, Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, Lego Mindstorms and more.

If you're interested in attending, you'll need to email Renee Crouch at crouch_r@wmg.warwick.ac.uk by Friday 30 May 2014. Places are limited, and we can only allocate them on a first-come-first-served basis. Prerequisites if you want to attend are: basic programming skills, minimal knowledge of Digital Electronics, minimal understanding of Linux.

At the first session, on Friday 6 June, those attending will investigate the Raspberry Pi and try to build a physical project.
