Original Message
Gibbet Hill Road is currently closed and will be for several hours to come today. A bus has caught fire, and emergency services vehicles will need access to the road. No one has been injured.
The Social Sciences building and Radcliffe have been evacuated because of the smoke.
While Gibbet Hill Road is closed, we advise that you use alternative routes to get around campus. We'll post more information as it becomes available.
Update: 11am - Diversions in place
The authorities have now put diversions in place to keep traffic flowing around campus. The Road is now open at key locations to allow traffic in and out of campus. Please follow any diversion signs or direction from officers if you're intending to drive.
Update: 11:10am - Stagecoach buses
All Stagecoach buses are running as usual today. There may be delays to buses depending on traffic, but they should still be picking up and dropping off as usual.

Instead of the Library Road stop, please walk (behind Ramphal) to Scarman Road. The shuttlebus will pick you up opposite WBS, outside Scarman House and then turn left at the roundabout to Student Post Room.
