The China Forum 16 November 2013

Saturday 16 November 2013 from 9am to 5pm – MS.02 Maths and Stats Building

chinaWarwick’s annual Chinese Academic Forum returns on Saturday 16 November. The solemn goal of The China Forum is to facilitate the understanding and acceptance between the East and the West, through channels of open and unbiased academic discussions in English encouraged by the one day exposure to different perspectives on contemporary Chinese issues.

The China Forum stands to promote mutual cultural understanding between the East and the West through inviting Chinese experts from different sectors of society to speak on contemporary Chinese issues.

We have the pleasure of high calibre contributions from seven prominent speakers including Prof. Kerry Brown (Executive Director at the China Studies Center at the University of Sydney, former Head of the Asia Programme at Chatham House), Tashi Phunstok (Central Tibetan Administration, former representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama), and Kai Dai (Founder of Chinese Weekly, the largest Chinese printing news agency in the UK).

The China Forum hopes to leave our guests with an increased understanding and respect of the divergent views on Chinese affairs as well as a very rewarding and intellectually stimulating experience.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors this year we are able to provide free admission, lunch and a wine reception for all registered delegates.
