Collaborative sandpit for PhD students and early career researchers

The Wolfson Research Exchange are seeking expressions of interest from later stage PhD students and early career researchers for involvement in a collaborative sandpit event. A collaborative sandpit is an intensive, two-day, interactive workshop. Doctoral researchers and early career researchers form interdisciplinary research teams to define research problems on a given theme.

Research teams then work together to outline a grant proposal, which is submitted to the Sandpit Committee at the end of the event. Successful project teams receive funding and work with an academic mentor to enact their plans.

Applications

Applicants need to submit an expression of interest from Wednesday 29 May until Monday 17 June 2013. A pre sandpit workshop will take place for half a day on either 24 or 25 June. The Collaborative sandpit will take place on 3 and 4 July.
