Free heart screenings for Warwick students on 18 June

CRYOn Tuesday 18 June 2013, Student Heart Health and heart charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) will be running a series of free heart screenings for students at Warwick.

The non-invasive ECG testing allows participants to have their heart's electrical activity looked at by a cardiologist, to see if the rhythms are normal. While it won't pick up on all potential heart problems, it can discover issues from mild arrhythmias to possibly life-threatening conditions.

When screenings were held at the University last year, over 200 people took part, and some participants did find issues that needed further medical attention. While these screenings are often recommended for young athletes, our screenings are open up to all students.
