HMRC scam email warning

Email scamSome staff have received emails claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) advising of a tax refund and asking the recipient to click on a link which then asks for bank details to enable the refund to be paid. Anyone who receives such an email should not reply to it but delete it immediately as it is a scam. HMRC does not communicate with taxpayers by email, only by letter.
