Warwick Integration Summit 2013

Warwick will welcome delegates from universities and students' unions across the country next week, as we host a summit to examine how universities and students' unions can best work together to encourage integration between international and domestic students.

The summit, on 7 March 2013, follows last year's highly successful event. The University is delighted to be partnering with the Students' Union, UKCISA and NUS to encourage institutions and their students' unions to explore how they can work together to remove barriers to intercultural contact on campus.

Leading academics and practitioners will be brought together to discuss the latest thinking in this challenging area. Speakers include Professor Helen Spencer-Oatey, Director of Warwick’s Centre for Applied Linguistics, Dr. Betty Leask, Visiting Professor at Leeds Metropolitan University, and Daniel Stevens, International Students’ Officer at the NUS and former president of Warwick Students’ Union.
