On 15 April, we'll be hosting our first Warwick student and alumni recruitment event in Hong Kong, as part of a strategy to develop stronger links with international employers and increase overseas career opportunities for our graduates. Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs are among the leading recruiters presenting at the event. There are a small number of places still available to students and alumni - register via email.

About the event

The event will take place in Hong Kong on Tuesday 15 April from 6.45-9.30pm. There will be presentations from leading international employers, followed by a Q&A session and networking opportunity. The event is free to attend for Warwick students and alumni, but advance registration via email is required.

This event is an excellent opportunity to hear from recruiting experts at Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs, and the Director of the HK Association of Graduate Recruiters among others, who will be sharing their careers advice on opportunities in Hong Kong and the region.

Warwick's International Employer Strategy

The event is the first overseas recruitment event that Warwick has hosted as part of our international employer strategy, which in the past six months has been focusing on developing connections with overseas recruiters. The initiative has already seen many new employers from around the globe advertising their vacancies at Warwick, including the British Council Pakistan Careers Fair that was hosted by the University for the first time last month. The Employer Connect team (part of Student Careers and Skills) has worked together with the International Office, Alumni Relations and External Affairs teams to collaborate on this inaugural international event. A new International Careers Fair will also be held at Warwick in October 2014.

A new website to help our international students find a job has also just been launched. The new site offers a host of information, including all the latest international recruitment news, job vacancies, careers fairs, careers and skills services, and resources. Check it out online.
