jobs.ac.uk celebrates 15th birthday

�celebrationjobs.ac.uk, the leading international job board for careers in academic, research and science professions, is this month celebrating 15 years of advertising job opportunities for the academic community.

The website was launched in January 1998 by the University with the aim of providing a more cost effective, online recruitment advertising service for academic, research, science and related positions.

Since its launch, jobs.ac.uk has delivered significant cost and efficiency savings for the HE sector and is today used by over 7,000 organisations in over 250 countries worldwide including universities, research institutions, public sector bodies and commercial organisations.

The website has also recently seen record traffic numbers and attracts in excess of 846,480 unique visitors from across the globe each month, 92% of which have a Degree, Masters or Doctorate.

Over the past 15 years, the website has also served as an essential source of careers advice for academics, researchers and PhDs working in the UK and overseas.
