There will be at least four vacancies in external lay membership on the University Council arising from 1 August 2015. Under the agreed procedure for the appointment of lay members of the Council (Ordinance 4) it is open to any member of the University to suggest names to fill these vacancies for initial consideration by the Nominations Committee of the University Council.

Suggestions for appointment should be forwarded in writing to the Secretary to the Council, Mr Ken Sloan, Registrar and Chief Operating Officer, via Mrs Philippa Glover, Director of Governance and Assurance Services, and should be accompanied by a detailed statement setting out how the nominee meets the criteria for appointment.
