Lay Membership of the University Council

There will be at least 2 vacancies in external lay membership on the University Council arising from 1 August 2014. Under the agreed procedure for the appointment of lay members of the Council (Ordinance 4) it is open to any member of the University to suggest names to fill these vacancies for initial consideration by the Nominations Committee of the University Council.

The Nominations Committee has prepared general criteria for appointment of lay members of Council, a copy of which is available from the Deputy Registrar’s Office (e-mail: universitycouncil@warwick.ac.uk). The Nominations Committee has specifically prioritised the need to ensure that the membership of the University Council reflects the diversity of the University community.

Use this nominations form (Word Document) to submit your nomination.

As you will appreciate, the proceedings for the appointment of lay members of the Council are strictly confidential. Any nominations remain strictly confidential to the members and secretariat of the Nominations Committee.
