Moodle - the web platform for delivering teaching and learning content - is now just over a year old, and it has been a very busy, productive period for all involved.

Moodle is now used by over a dozen departments including Life Sciences, Chemistry, WMS, WMG and Mathematics. Each department has been able to use Moodle to meet their own requirements - some are creating an online, interactive space for all undergraduate modules, some for all postgraduate modules, some are trying out a handful of modules.

Moodle is also being used outside academic departments, for example for staff training courses. Did you take the Information Security Essentials course? Then you were using Moodle. We are all learning as Warwick’s Moodle grows and develops, adding features and developing integrations with other systems at Warwick. We have a very active Moodle User Group that meets regularly to share ideas, expertise and solve problems.

So far, this academic year, there are:

• Over 700 modules on Moodle
• Over 6500 active students/ students who have done or are doing a module
• Over 1000 members of staff academics creating or participating in modules
• 600 assignments have been set with 10,000 submissions

Additionally there are regular, hands-on training courses run for Moodle and Mahara (an eportfolio tool that integrates with Moodle).
